Level 3: For those with skating experience able to move independently on the ice.

Mandatory equipment:

Skates
Should have good ankle support (lace-up skates preferred).
Should be sharpened prior to the first class.
Sharpening is available at the Arena Proshop or sharpening machine.

Hockey style helmet

Mitts/gloves

Recommended Equipment:

Face Mask
A full face mask is recommended and will be mandatory for all children progressing to hockey or ringuette.

Knee and elbow pads
It is strongly recommended that children under 6 years of age wear knee and elbow pads to reduce the risk of injury.

Clothing
We recommend that children wear long underwear and sweatpants OR sweatpants and slushpants rather than snowsuits. Snowsuits tend to restrict movement.
