Urban Planning

The Planning Department is committed to maintaining the integrity of the community by ensuring that zoning, construction (including fire safety and fire prevention), subdivision and permits and certificates by-laws are respected.

Our dynamic team of planners and building inspectors manages a variety of residential, commercial and industrial projects and welcomes questions about citizens' future projects.

Protecting our trees

It is prohibited to fell any tree located on private property within the territory of the Beaconsfield without having first obtained a permit for this purpose. To learn more on this subject, consult Permits - Trees.

New Construction or Extension

All new construction and any planned extension of a primary building used is subject to analysis under the Site planning and architectural integration program. The application will be reviewed by the Planning Advisory Committee and submitted to the City Council for decision.

Do not hesitate to contact the Urban Planning and Municipal Patrol Department at (514) 428-4430. Our staff will inform you of the applicable standards and regulations.
