In indigenous cultures, human beings are considered as much a part of nature as are, for example, animals plants, water, wind, the sun, and the moon. Today, many of us live in cities, seemingly far removed from any connection with nature. But are we really that far removed from it? Can we maintain this contact? What is our relationship with nature in an urban environment? How has urban reality affected us?

Through the prism of traditional and contemporary indigenous dance and music, Barbara Kaneratonni Diabo presents a new perspective on the subject, and creates a new relationship between the city and the land.

The performance will be followed by a traditional dance workshop.
