Craig Morrison, ethnomusicologist, musician, author, and former Concordia University professor, will present the life of Louis «Satchmo» Armstrong, the beloved trumpet player, singer, entertainer, and actor.

Learn about Armstrong’s origins in New Orleans, his artistic emergence in the 1920s as the leading figure in jazz, and various aspects of his life and career including his pop hits in the 1960s. This presentation will be illustrated with recordings and images.
