October 12, 2026 - Closures: Thanksgiving

City offices as well as the Library and Recreation Centre will be closed for Thanksgiving on Monday, October 12.

You can still reach personnel who can provide essential services (sewer backup and water main break, Municipal Patrol) by calling 514 428-5999 and emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) by calling 9-1-1.

City Council is composed of a mayor and six (6) councillors. Beaconsfield is divided into six (6) electoral districts. Each district is represented by a councillor elected by voters from the district. The mayor is elected by all voters in the City.

Training and professional development programs attended by the Council

Mandatory Ethics and Good Conduct Training

In accordance with section 15 of Municipal Ethics and Good Conduct Act, all new members and re-elected members of Council must participate in a professional development program on municipal ethics and good conduct in the six months after the beginning of their term.

In accordance with section 15, the City of Beaconsfield keeps up to date on its website a list of the Council members who have participated in the program.

Mandatory  training on the role of councillors and the municipal system

According to the Regulation respecting the training of elected municipal officers, every member of a municipal council must, within nine months of taking office, complete training on their role as well as on the municipal system.

In accordance with section 8 of the enabling Act, the municipality keeps up to date on its website the list of council members who have taken the training prescribed by regulation:
