Join the Montreal Symphony Orchestra in Beaconsfield for a free outdoor concert led by conductor Andrei Feher! Under the theme Christmas in July, come and listen with family and friends to excerpts from the classical holiday repertoire, including Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker and Bizet's Farandole. Enjoy magical moments under the stars in the company of André Robitaille, Chinese Canadian cellist Leland Ko, winner of first prize in the 2023 OSM Competition, and the Orchestra.

SHUTTLE SERVICE 

Available during the following schedule: 

  • 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. 
  • 9:00 to 11:00 p.m.

Stops: 

  • Beaconsfield Shopping Centre parking lot (50 Saint-Charles Blvd.) 
  • Beaconsfield Train Station (104 Elm Avenue) 
  • Boarding and disembarking: Beaconsfield Recreation Centre, 1974 City Lane

Please note: The buses used have stairs and do not have an accessible platform.  

PARKING AND TRAFFIC

Heavy traffic is expected due to the anticipated attendance for the concert. To help plan your travels: 

Available parking nearby: 

  • Beaconsfield Recreation Centre/City Hall 1974 City Lane 
  • Beaconsfield Public Works 300 Beaurepaire 
  • Beaconsfield High School 250 Beaurepaire 
  • Place Cartier Adult Education Centre 257 Beaconsfield Blvd. – access via Beaconsfield Court

Active transportation

We recommend active modes of transportation. Walk or bike!

Please note: Bicycles and scooters are not permitted in Centennial Park. They may be left outside the park, at the barricades - bring your locks.

Reduced mobility

The parking lot at the Beaconsfield Library (303, boulevard Beaconsfield) will be entirely reserved for citizens with reduced mobility and handicapped people with a parking sticker. Speak to one of the patrol officers in the parking lot.

Need help to get settled in the park?
At the park entrance (west or east side), speak to an employee with a yellow cap. They will help you get settled.

Prohibited items and actions

In order to keep the event running smoothly and safely, please take care to read the following list of prohibited items and actions:

  • Alcohol
  • Dogs (besides service dogs)
  • Glass containers
  • Tents, parasols, etc.
  • Smoking
  • Selling any food, beverages, or other items

Tip: Bring your own food and lawn chairs and have a picnic! Food and drinks will not be sold on site.

Closure of Centennial Park

Centennial Park will be completely closed on Friday, July 26, to allow for the site to be set up. It will reopen at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 27.

On Sunday, July 28 and Monday, July 29 until 2 p.m., pedestrian access will be possible on the east side only. Vehicle access will not be possible.

65 AND OVER ZONE 

*No more tickets available*

A zone located near the entrance and the stage will be available for citizens aged 65 and over. A ticket is required to enter the zone and is available for free. 

  • Bring your garden chair. 
  • Tickets available at the Library starting Monday, July 22 at 10 a.m. 
  • Proof of residence required.
