The design for Beaconsfield’s future multipurpose cultural centre, created by the firm Lemay, was awarded gold at the 2024 World Architecture News Awards, in one of the competition’s most prestigious categories: Future Projects.
This award highlights the excellence of a design that is both inspiring and sustainable, and deeply rooted in its natural surroundings. The jury praised the building’s seamless integration into Centennial Park, its eco-friendly wood construction, and its inclusive and community-focused vision.
Conceived as a true bridge between culture and green space, the centre will become a vibrant hub in the heart of the park — a place where knowledge, creativity, and the outdoors come together.
It’s a world-class recognition for a project imagined here, at home, for you!
