The City is starting to work on its new strategic plan and would like to hear from its residents. This participatory meeting will bring residents of all ages together to answer a single question: what do we want to preserve, improve, or create together?
What is a strategic plan?
This document will guide the City’s decisions over the next five years. It establishes the priorities, such as which services to develop, which infrastructure to renovate, which natural areas to protect, and where to invest public funds. Once adopted, it informs budgets and projects. That is why public input has the most influence now, before the plan is written.
What to expect?
Discussions will take place in small groups and will cover four themes
- Municipal services: the resident experience and the changing needs of the population
- Communication: the City’s distinctive character, active listening, and public participation
- Infrastructure: municipal facilities, densification, and the maintenance and modernization of buildings
- Environment: the preservation of natural areas and climate resilience
