End of the mobile hazardous household waste collection (HHW)

Environment March 25, 2026

Prior to 2026, the City of Montréal offered a mobile collection service for hazardous household waste (HHW) in the West Island municipalities. Unfortunately, this service has been discontinued by the City of Montréal and the two collection periods scheduled in April and August are therefore cancelled.

Residents will now need to bring their hazardous waste to the appropriate drop-off locations to ensure proper disposal.

Beaconsfield residents have access to all ecocentres within the Agglomeration of Montreal. The LaSalle and Ville Saint-Laurent ecocentres, being the closest, are the most convenient options for most residents. Other local drop-off points may also accept certain specific items.

Before making the trip, consult our directory of accepted materials by drop-off location to avoid an unnecessary visit.
