Our teams on the ground have been working hard to secure our streets, equipment and infrastructure, and will continue to do so throughout the day. At present, 100% of the city's sidewalks are passable, despite the presence of small debris. The bike path on Elm will also be accessible this evening. However, some streets are difficult to access because of hanging wires. Branches will still be collected next week, once the roads are clear and our equipment can circulate easily.
Given the extent of the damage, Hydro Québec is currently unable to say how long it will take to restore power. The Recreation Centre and Library remain open according to their respective schedules.
We remind you to stay away from electrical wires and not to touch any branches in contact with them. Contact Hydro Québec directly to report an outage.
