The City of Beaconsfield is improving its emergency alert system. Starting December 15, 2025, alerts will be sent through a new portal provided by our website supplier. This change will allow for better coordination of emergency communications across all our platforms.
Our emergency alert portal is the easiest way to stay informed during events such as a prolonged power outage, a boil-water advisory, or any other emergency.
The alert portal can reach you by phone, text message, or email, based on the contact information you provide.
A test will be conducted on December 15 to ensure the platform is working properly.
Data safety
- This new alert portal's data is hosted at OVH, , an ISO 27001-certified hosting provider, the highest certification in the industry, and your data is always kept in Québec.
- Your data is automatically anonymized, with safeguards in place to see if any data was altered
- You can rely on two-factor authentication to keep your account safe
If you were already registered with CodeRED, you have two options:
- Let us handle it! Your information will be automatically transferred to the new platform, along with your communication preferences.
- Create a new account on our platform, which will allow you to manage your communication preferences.
Tip: If you don't remember making your CodeRed account, or don't remember the preferences you set, we encourage you to create a new account! Our system will automatically detect and delete duplicates.
Please note: Those registered with CodeRed will continue to receive notifications until December 31. After this date, only this new platform will be used.
Caller ID Number
You will recognize the emergency alert portal call when your caller ID displays the following phone number. Please be sure to add this phone number to your phone contacts:
- 1 855 408-4400: Save this number in your contacts as “Beaconsfield Emergencies.”
