Your experience of the territory matters. You know the neighbourhoods, everyday commutes, services, and lived realities. Your feedback will help the City better understand the community's issues and priorities.

You are the experts on the local area; the City holds the expertise in urban planning and understands the legal obligations to which land-use planning is subject. Our shared goal: to define a clear vision for Beaconsfield's development. The municipal team will then translate this vision concretely into the planning and regulatory tools that will guide the City's evolution.

The consultation focuses on three themes:

Transforming living environments
How neighborhoods are changing: what to preserve, recognize, and develop
Mobility and access to servicesGetting around and accessing everyday services safely, using all modes of transportation
Resilience and climate changeTrees, riverbanks, built heritage, and land in the face of climate-related hazards

Why ask for your participation now?

Before drafting of the by-laws begins, now is the right time to say what your sector needs: your input will be used to define the broad guidelines and make choices for the by-laws before they are drafted.

What happens to my comments?

Contributions are analyzed to bring out the issues raised, community priorities, and emerging trends.

The analysis takes into account the diversity of the people and groups who took part. The highlights of the consultation will be made public and will help inform the development of the guidelines and proposals.

This collaborative process will help ground the discussion in the realities of the territory, without every comment necessarily being individually retained.
