Highlights

Monitoring of major cultural and recreational projects

Three professional mandates were awarded for the future multipurpose Cultural Centre and the expansion of the Recreation Centre: project management (C&C Immobilier), construction hygiene monitoring (Gestion Environnementale T. Harris), and laboratory services (ABS). The City is thus continuing the preparation and rigorous monitoring of these major investments.

Contract management and sound governance

Three draft by-laws were tabled:

  • BEAC-186 on contract management
  • BEAC-082-2 on the delegation of powers
  • BEAC-029-2 on budget control and monitoring

These amendments aim to strengthen internal control processes in compliance with the Act respecting contracting by municipal bodies.

Support for community life and summer events

Council authorized two events: Karma Yoga for a Cause and the Qixi Multicultural Festival at Centennial Park this summer, reflecting the City’s commitment to a diverse, inclusive, and unifying calendar of activities.
