Highlights
Sound and Transparent Financial Management
Council tabled the 2025 financial report and the auditor’s report, confirming the stability and sound management of the City’s finances. In addition, Mayor St-Jean read and tabled the Mayor’s report on the highlights of the financial report and auditor’s report for 2025. Both documents are available on the City’s website.
Road Network Improvements
Council adopted borrowing by-law BEAC-185, authorizing capital expenditures, including a loan of 560,000$, for professional services aimed at planning and improving Beaconsfield’s road network. This by-law brings together several engineering mandates related to the design and analysis of roadway projects. These include the rehabilitation of Saint-Charles Boulevard, the reconfiguration of the intersections of Saint-Charles/Prairie Drive and Elm/Montrose, the analysis and design of a cycling link on Montrose, as well as the design of five additional raised intersections.
Support for Community Organizations and Events
Several initiatives received the City’s support:
- Financial contribution for a local athlete competing in the Canadian Artistic Swimming Championships
- Approval for street closures during the ALPS Section A Finals and Canada Day celebrations
- Loan of chairs, tables, and tents to John F. Kennedy School for a special event
These concrete actions support community engagement, athletic excellence, and the welcoming spirit of Beaconsfield.
